My story
More than running
Running has always been part of who I am. Over the years I have completed several marathons, always chasing new goals and new places. When I discovered the World Marathon Majors, I knew immediately: this is what I want to do.
But somewhere along the way, this dream became something much bigger than just chasing a finish line.
Three generations
Cancer, MS and epilepsy have touched three generations of my family.
I lost my father to cancer when I was 18 years old. He never got to see me run.
Last year, my brother was diagnosed with MS, something that felt deeply unfair, and left me feeling powerless.
Finally, my daughter lives with epilepsy. Things are currently under control, but epilepsy has taught our family that certainty can change in an instant. When her diagnosis first came, everything felt uncertain. You find yourself constantly asking: Is this okay to do? Is this safe? Should we wait and see? Can she go out by herself? These are questions no parent should have to ask. But millions do.
More Than Chasing Finish Lines
This journey is not about medals. It is about supporting research, creating awareness and standing beside families who are facing challenges they never asked for. If sharing my story and running these races can make even the smallest difference, then every step will be worth it.
Transparency
Every donation goes directly to the causes I support. I personally cover all travel, marathon entries and other expenses. Not a single euro of your donation is spent on my journey, it goes entirely to fighting cancer, MS and epilepsy.
Join the Journey
Whether you donate, follow along, share my story or support in another way, thank you for being part of this journey!
Together, we can make every step count.
Running for Generations
These experiences are what shaped Running for Generations.
The World Marathon Majors are an incredible challenge and getting an entry is not easy. When I realised the scale of what I was taking on, one thought kept coming back: if I am going to do something this big, it should be for something that truly matters.
I want every step of this journey to be for something bigger than myself. That is why I am running to raise awareness and funds for the causes that are closest to my heart. For the generations before us, beside us and after us.
